• Betfair data: session tokens (encrypted), account balance (read-only)
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, login frequency

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the Service
• To execute betting strategies on your behalf via Betfair
• To generate analytics and performance reports
• To send account notifications (bet placed, settled, strategy alerts)
• To improve our AI models and platform features
• To communicate service updates and optional marketing emails

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform). All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/SSL. Sensitive credentials (Betfair tokens, API keys) are encrypted at rest using git-crypt and environment-level encryption. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plaintext.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Betfair Exchange: to place and manage bets on your behalf
• Google Gemini / OpenAI / Groq: for AI-powered analysis (race data is sent for analysis, not personal data)
• Brevo (SMTP): for transactional and notification emails
• Microsoft Clarity: for anonymized usage analytics
• Google Cloud Platform: for hosting and database

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., sending bet instructions to Betfair, race data to AI providers for analysis). Anonymized, aggregated data may be used for leaderboard rankings and marketplace performance verification.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data via the Account page
• Update or correct your data (display name, email, password)
• Export your betting data (Excel/PDF export)
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of marketing emails

7. Cookies

BetGen uses essential cookies for authentication (JWT session tokens) and user preferences (theme, timezone, language). We use Microsoft Clarity for anonymized analytics. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Bet history and analytics are retained indefinitely for performance tracking. Upon account deletion, personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained for product improvement.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
